A Good Life — Debut Album
Boat on Fire
Born in Canberra, Australia and named for the Tasman Sea, Tasman Sharp spent his early years overseas before his family settled in New Braunfels, Texas — his mother's hometown. It's there that a kid with a guitar and a School of Rock membership turned into a working country artist.
A Battle of the Bands win in 2021 landed Tasman his first big stage, opening for Grammy winners Shenandoah, and he hasn't slowed down since. He's toured through Kansas and Oklahoma, played the Austin Marathon VIP stage two years running, and built a home base at Gruene Hall, the Gristmill, and Iron Horse Bar & Grill. His debut album, A Good Life, dropped in February 2024 — six songs built on true Texas songwriting, co-written with Hill Country songwriter Sheri Swartz.
Tasman still refines his guitar work at Beagle's Nest Records in New Braunfels, writing and recording original material rooted in the sound of the state he calls home.
